do you work with guys

This is an interesting question that I received and one that I want to address to clear up any confusion…

Gender is an interesting topic and in the past I have focused on working with women because I am a woman. Basically, I know the struggle of weight loss from a woman’s perspective, socially and hormonally.

We all have to choose who we feel strongest working with, for example;

One of my clients became pregnant and we trained during her pregnancy. I could, but I choose not to, work exclusively in pre-post natal fitness as I’m not a Mother and my knowledge of babies comes from books.

I feel that clients deserve an authentic “me too” approach and understanding, which I can’t give to that group.

^^^ my male clients don’t ever look this bored

Women vs Men

I believed that female clients who wanted weight loss could relate to me and I to them and a beautiful partnership would be born. And that has happened.

I’ve trained some bad ass women and it’s amazing.

However if you check out my testimonials page you’ll see some guys on there too.

Guys?! What?!

Then I realised that a lot of my friends are male and I’ve trained almost all of them at some stage in my career.

Yet I’m over here assuming that guys won’t want to work with me cos I’m not a 6 foot tall muscle bound alpha male?

*eye roll*

So the answer to the question is that, yes – I do train guys and the guys that work with me all happen to be pretty cool. Intelligent, funny, hard working and not a weak handshake or poor high five among them.

Yes, the majority of my clients might be women, and always will be but, if you’re a dude and you’re willing to give me the same effort and dedication as my tribe of Savage Women, then you’re welcome to contact me and we’ll chat.

(Bring your strongest high five though, that’s a requirement…)
