So this week I did my girlfriend duties and went to see Star Wars with my boyfriend

I’ve never seen a Star Wars film before

(I know….I know…)

He did say he would go on his own
probably because I was doing that eye rolling thing that Kevin the teenager does (90’s reference!)

but I felt I had to go, so off we went

Dun dun dun, dun dun dun, dun dun dun….

As preparation for going I had watched Star Wars in 90 seconds on YouTube and felt that I had the jist

I also watched the honest trailers version too (worth it)

Anyway, I went fully expecting to not be impressed

Even though I knew LOADS of people telling me it was amazing and the best thing ever
(The whole time I’m thinking ‘well of course you think that, it’s your kinda film’)

I even thought I might fall asleep like I did in Jack Reacher
(did anyone not fall asleep during that film?)

However, what happened…?

It was actually good!

Like, I actually liked it.

And I realised that this franchise will be around for the next 2 Christmasses and it will become a thing that we do.

And that’s actually cool.

How does this relate to fitness?

Well, have you ever been asked to go to a class?
to go to the gym?
then thought ‘oh god no, that’s so boring I’ll never like that’
and put it off?

Saying to your friends:
“Well of course YOU like it, you’re the type of person who exercises!”

Perhaps this is your chance to try it out.

Suck it up, go along and try something new

A new class
A new workout
A new machine

Just bite the bullet and go along

What’s the worst that could happen…?

Ainzlie ‘no lightsabers in the gym please’ McMaster

P.s – told you, no spoilers!
